Structured mobile testing follows the evidence behind warning lights, electrical concerns, drivability issues, no-start conditions, and related symptoms before a repair is recommended.
Pricing
Mobile Diagnostic Service — $250
The service covers one primary documented concern, reasonably related symptoms, up to two hours of testing, travel inside the regular service area, diagnostic findings, and a repair recommendation or next-step explanation.
Review and authorize the diagnostic estimate first. After the appointment is confirmed, a $50 non-refundable down payment reserves it and is applied to the $250 diagnostic price. The remaining $200 is due when Grease Nomads identifies a supported cause and provides a repair recommendation, even if the repair is declined. If no supported cause is identified within the included scope, no remaining diagnostic balance is due. An approved repair receives a credit of up to $100; the credit cannot exceed the approved repair price, create a negative balance, or be paid as cash. Price shown before applicable taxes; repairs, parts, supplies, and approved travel fees are separate. Additional testing beyond two hours requires explanation and approval through a new estimate.

How it works
From estimate authorization to a documented next step
The diagnostic process keeps authorization, payment, testing, findings, and any recommended repair clear at every stage.
- 01
Authorize the diagnostic estimate
Review the $250 diagnostic estimate first. If everything looks correct, authorize it through the customer link.
- 02
Confirm the appointment and deposit
After authorization, share the days and times that work for you. Once the appointment is confirmed, the $50 non-refundable down payment reserves it and is applied to the diagnostic price.
- 03
We test the documented concern
At the appointment, Grease Nomads inspects and tests the vehicle to identify a supported cause instead of recommending parts from a trouble code or guess.
- 04
Receive the findings and repair estimate
When a supported cause is identified, the remaining $200 diagnostic balance is due. You receive a digital service summary and a separate estimate for the recommended repair.
- 05
Approve the repair and receive the credit
If you authorize the related repair estimate, a credit of up to $100 is applied to that repair. It can reduce the repair balance to $0, but it cannot create a negative balance or cash refund.
- 06
If the first visit does not support a cause
If no supported cause is identified within the included scope, the remaining $200 is not due. You still receive a digital service summary documenting the testing, findings, and next step. Any additional testing is explained and requires a new authorization.
- 07
Schedule the return repair visit
After the repair estimate is authorized, Grease Nomads coordinates the return appointment and comes back to service the vehicle.

What does the $250 diagnostic service include?
It includes one primary documented concern, reasonably related symptoms, up to two hours of testing, travel within the regular service area, findings, and a repair recommendation or next-step explanation. Additional unrelated concerns require a separate scope.
How do authorization, scheduling, and diagnostic payment work?
Review and authorize the $250 diagnostic estimate first. After authorization, Grease Nomads confirms the appointment and the $50 non-refundable down payment reserves it. The remaining $200 becomes due when Grease Nomads identifies a supported cause and provides a repair recommendation, even if the repair is declined. If no supported cause is identified within the included scope, no remaining diagnostic balance is due.
How does the repair credit work?
When the related repair estimate is authorized, Grease Nomads applies a credit of up to $100 toward the approved repair. The credit can reduce the repair balance to $0, but it cannot exceed the approved repair price, create a negative balance, or be paid as cash. After authorization, Grease Nomads coordinates a return appointment to complete the repair.
What is the difference between a code scan and diagnosis?
A trouble code tells us where the vehicle detected a problem; testing determines why the problem is there. The process is to document the concern, inspect and test, follow the evidence, explain the findings, and recommend the next step. Testing beyond two hours is explained and requires approval through a new estimate.
What repair-result protection applies?
If Grease Nomads identifies a supported cause, performs the recommended repair, and the same documented concern remains, report it within 30 days before anyone else disturbs the relevant system. You may choose follow-up diagnosis at no additional diagnostic charge or a refund of the $200 diagnostic balance. The $50 down payment, repair labor, parts, supplies, travel, taxes, and other repair costs remain non-refundable solely because the first repair did not resolve the concern. This is not a full vehicle warranty.
